The hidden meaning behind ISCO Foundation's Logo

ISCO Foundations logo has a deceptively simple design. But each component of the logo contains its own meaning.

The most noticeable component is the statement:
"equal chance for every child"
This statement emphasizes an equal opportunity for all children from poor families to receive an education that is equal with the education that wealthier children receive.

The second component is the picture of the children running towards their future, towards school, with a rising sun in the background. This signifies a process where education is essential for growth and fulfillment for all children.

The third component contains a hidden meaning, which I at first failed to recognize, even though it is staring me in the face. It is the picture of the girl running in front of the boy. This is no accident, but is intentional to promote gender equality in education. This is not only symbolic, but is also achieved by sponsoring an equal number of boys and girls from Kindergarten to Year 12. There is one exception to this rule. If there is only one place left available for sponsorship, than that place should be given to the girl before it is given to the boy!
